Why is increased gas storage necessary?

This Project would play a key part in the future energy security of the UK: gas storage is critical for the security of the UK’s energy supply and stability of pricing. It could help reduce the increase in gas prices for consumers and better prepare the UK for cold winters.

Our proposed facility would increase the UK’s gas storage capacity by 20 per cent.
