Since we received consent for our project in July 2015, our team has been undertaking a raft of work to pave the way for commencement of our development on site.
This work has included discussions with regulatory bodies, including Wyre Council, Lancashire County Council and the Health & Safety Executive, land and marine surveys and ensuring we are compliant with the Development Consent Order we have been granted.
As a result, work is due to commence in early 2018 with the construction of a new haul road in Preesall which will link to the A588.
Keith Budinger, chief executive of Halite Energy explains: “Throughout this process Halite has put safety at the heart of everything it does. I want to reassure local people that this will continue to be the case as we move the project onto site. In addition, all our activities will be scrutinised and monitored by regulatory bodies such as the Health & Safety Executive and the Environment Agency to ensure we fulfil all the requirements placed upon us.”
